To be in the HHHS color guard, you have to be flexible, happy, good at multitasking, and most of all enjoy what you do.

By being flexible I mean that you need to be flexible with your body and flexible with practices, changes to work, and changes to drill or even members.

You have to be happy so you can preform like you mean it! Not like your getting a root canal.

To be in guard anywhere you have to be able to act, march, think where you are going next, spin equipment, dance, and think of work or dance moves all at once. It can be hard at first and you get better the longer you are in seasons.

The most important part is that you have to enjoy being in guard. If you don't like it you will only drag the whole guard and band down.

Grades are also important to the band so you can't have a grade bellow a D. If you do you will not be able to go to practices or to performances.
